1. Information We Collect
Talk2Me is designed to minimize data collection while providing you with a personalized experience. Here's what we collect:
1.1 Information You Don't Need to Provide

1.3 Identifiers (User ID & Device ID)
To manage purchases and measure advertising performance, we use two types of identifiers:
- User ID (Anonymous User Identifier): We use the RevenueCat service to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat assigns you an anonymous
User IDso we can ensure you always have access to your purchased features, especially if you change devices. This ID is not linked to your real name or email. - Device ID (Device's Advertising Identifier): You may see a system permission prompt from Apple asking if you'd like to allow the app to "track" you. Here is what that means for us:
Our Policy on Data Tracking
We request this permission for one purpose only: to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising campaigns (like Apple Search Ads) using our partner, AppsFlyer.
What We DO NOT Do:
- We NEVER sell or share your data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
- We DO NOT use this identifier to show you ads from other companies inside our app.
- We DO NOT use it to build a "profile" of you to track you across other apps.
This permission simply helps us understand which of our ad campaigns are working. You can deny this permission, and the "Talk2Me" app will remain fully functional.
1.4 Optional AI Feature Data
If you choose to use our AI-powered relationship analysis feature:
- Session Data: Your answers and responses during game sessions
- Nickname: Optional nickname you provide (if any)
- Interaction Patterns: How you and your partner interact with questions
Postcards Feature (3D Animation from Photos):
If you choose to use our AI-powered Postcards feature to create 3D animated images:
- Photo Processing: Your photos are temporarily sent to Replicate's AI service for processing
- No Storage: We do NOT store your original photos or generated images on our servers
- Privacy First: Photos pass through our system without being saved
- Temporary Results: Generated postcards may be temporarily stored by Replicate for up to 1 hour, then automatically deleted
- No AI Training: Your photos are NEVER used to train AI models
- User Control: Generated postcards are only saved if you choose to save them to your device's photo library
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely for the following purposes:
2.1 App Functionality and Improvement
- Performance Optimization: Analyze usage patterns to improve App speed and functionality
- Feature Development: Understand which features are most valuable to users
- Bug Fixes: Identify and resolve technical issues
- User Experience: Enhance the overall App experience based on anonymous usage data
2.2 AI-Powered Features (Optional)
- Relationship Insights: Generate personalized communication tips and relationship advice
- Compatibility Analysis: Provide insights based on your responses and interaction patterns
- Conversation Suggestions: Offer personalized topics and questions for couples

- Anonymous Analytics: Understand general usage trends (never linked to individual users)
- Product Research: Develop new features that benefit couples
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure the App runs smoothly across different devices
3. Third-Party Services
Talk2Me integrates with the following third-party services to provide functionality, analytics, and subscription management. We carefully select partners who share our commitment to privacy.
3.1 App Analytics & Stability
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Crash reporting and app stability monitoring.
- Amplitude: User behavior analytics to improve app experience (anonymized data only).
3.2 Subscription & Purchase Management
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to process our in-app purchases and manage subscription status. RevenueCat securely handles purchase validation with the App Store and associates your purchase history with an anonymous User ID to ensure you always have access to your premium features.
3.3 Advertising Attribution (Why We Ask for Data Tracking Permission)
- AppsFlyer: We use AppsFlyer to help us understand how users find our app. When you see our ads (like Apple Search Ads) and install Talk2Me, AppsFlyer helps us measure the effectiveness of that ad.
3.4 AI Processing & Image Generation (Optional)
- OpenAI Platform: Processes session data when you use optional AI analysis features.
- Data Handling: OpenAI processes data according to their privacy policy and does not store conversation data long-term.
- Replicate: Used to process photos for our Postcards feature (3D animation generation). Photos are processed in real-time and are NOT stored permanently. Generated results may be temporarily cached for up to 1 hour for delivery purposes. Your photos are NOT used for training AI models and are NOT shared with other third parties.

We only share information in the following specific circumstances:
- Service Providers (Analytics): Anonymous analytics with Firebase and Amplitude for app improvement.
- Service Providers (Subscriptions): Your anonymous
User IDandPurchase Historyare shared with RevenueCat to manage your subscriptions. - Service Providers (Attribution): If you grant Apple's data tracking permission, your device's
advertising identifieris shared with AppsFlyer solely for our own ad measurement. - AI Processing: Session data with OpenAI (only when you use AI features).
- Image Processing (Postcards): Photos sent to Replicate for AI processing (not stored, pass through only; generated results temporarily cached for up to 1 hour, then auto-deleted).
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request.
- Safety and Security: To protect the rights, property, and safety of users.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition (with user notification).
4.3 No Marketing or Advertising
Talk2Me does not:
- Share data with advertising networks
- Sell user data to data brokers
- Use your personal information for marketing campaigns
5. Data Retention and Storage
5.1 Minimal Data Storage
We do not store your personal conversations, session content, or relationship data on our servers.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Request information about what data we have collected (though we collect very little personal data).

Request deletion of any data associated with your device or usage patterns.
Opt-Out
Disable analytics or AI features at any time through the app settings.
Correction
Since we don't store personal information, there's typically nothing to correct.
Portability
Request export of any data we have about your usage (in machine-readable format).
Withdraw Consent
Stop using optional features or delete the app to withdraw all consent.
7.1 How to Exercise Your Rights

8. Children's Privacy
Age Restriction: Talk2Me is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
8.1 Parental Notice
If you are under 18, please ensure you have parental or guardian consent before using Talk2Me.
8.2 If We Learn of Child Data Collection
If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will:
- Delete the information immediately
- Take steps to prevent future collection
- Notify parents or guardians if possible
9. International Users and Data Transfers
9.1 Global Availability
Talk2Me is available worldwide through the Apple App Store. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different privacy laws than your country of residence.
